Greetings from far-flung places

These small playful oil sketches on antique hardwood form part of the series ‘Greetings from far-flung places’. They are a nod to the old art of postcard writing as a very personal, slow, yet lasting way to stay in touch with friends, family and loved ones. The initial boards of this series originate from a Victorian writing desk. Since then I have added ash boards from repurposed antique furniture. The oil panels can be displayed individually or as part of an ensemble.
